Admission and Registration Requirements

First: Children Eligible for Registration in Kindergarten:

Children who have completed three years of age by the start of the 1444 AH academic year, and up to the age of six, are eligible for registration in this stage.

The children eligible for registration in each level of kindergarten, according to their birthdates, are as follows:

A. Beginner (Mubtadi’)
Children born between 3rd of Safar, 1440 AH (October 12, 2018) and 2nd of Safar, 1441 AH (October 1, 2019).

B. Nursery (Rawda)
Children born between 3rd of Jumada al-Awwal, 1439 AH (January 20, 2018) and 2nd of Safar, 1441 AH (October 11, 2018).

C. Pre-Kindergarten (Tamhidi)
Children born between 3rd of Safar, 1438 AH (November 3, 2016) and 2nd of Jumada al-Awwal, 1439 AH (January 19, 2018).

Children who have reached the age of six are not accepted into the kindergarten stage.

Registration begins at the start of the second semester of this year through the kindergartens and will close once the available slots are filled.

Second: Students Eligible for Registration in the First Grade of Elementary School:

  1. Students who have completed six years of age by the start of the 1444 AH academic year, or those who are less than ninety days younger (i.e., born on or before 3rd of Shawwal, 1438 AH, which corresponds to January 31, 2017).

  2. Students who are less than six years of age by a maximum of one hundred and eighty days (180), i.e., those born between 4th of Shawwal, 1438 AH (February 1, 2017) and 5th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1438 AH (May 1, 2017), provided that the school administration verifies the following criteria:

    • The child has a certificate from an accredited kindergarten confirming their enrollment.
    • The child’s developmental skills have been confirmed, and there is a recommendation from the kindergarten teacher, indicating the child’s readiness to enroll early in the first grade of elementary school.
    • The child must have attended one of the following types of kindergartens:
      • Government or private kindergartens accredited by the Ministry of Education.
      • Foreign or private schools offering international programs licensed by the Ministry of Education.
      • Kindergartens outside the Kingdom, provided there is proof of the child’s proficiency in developmental skills, along with a recommendation for early enrollment in the first grade, and the documents must be certified by the Saudi Cultural Attaché or the Saudi Embassy.

Third: The student must have passed the previous year with a grade of at least “Very Good.”

Fourth: The student must pass the entrance exams (Arabic language, science, mathematics, and handwriting).

Fifth: The student’s behavior and attendance grades should not be less than 100 in the middle and secondary school levels.

Sixth: Payment of the required fees after passing the entrance exams and being accepted.

Seventh: Submission of the student’s previous records from the last school attended, including all certificates and documents (medical report, vaccination certificate, a copy of the family registration, birth certificate for Saudi students, passport and valid residence for non-Saudi students, 3 photos of the child in kindergarten and first grade, 3 photos of students in other levels).
